Loretta Wilson owner of Just For You in Tempe, Arizona is a graduate of National Aesthetics School and The Skin Oasis Institute. For the past seven years she has specialized in male body waxing, and no doubt an expert after performing thousands of waxing services on men. USA Today, Cargo Magazine and the New Times, have featured Loretta on the subject of men's bikini and full body waxing.

Traveling around the country, Wilson teaches other professionals how to wax more efficiently and safely. Now Loretta gives us more insight inside the world of men's waxing.

What areas are the guys going hairless?

Men are requesting full bikini and bun areas, but also a lot of entire body waxing. That would include from the neck down and everything in-between.

The bikini zone, eyebrows and lip area are popular with women for waxing. What's the most popular zone for men to get waxed at Just For You in Tempe?

Back and chest, along with full Brazilians.

Men have a repuation for being wimps when it comes to any type of discomfort. How do they deal with the pain factor, the same or differently than women?

It is the same for men as it is for women. It is not a big deal. Of course it has a bit of a "kick" to it, but after the first few pulls you get the general idea.

Sometimes there is a stereo type of the kind of guys that get male body waxing. Do you get male clients from all walks of life?

Yes, I certainly do! I have several male clients that are C.E.O.'s, school teachers, transgender, and just your average Joe's. I have found that most men do it for their wife or partner because they want to surprise them, have lost a bet, or their wife just wants to try something new and exciting.

Many people just assume that waxing any are of the male body is only for homosexual men, this is not even close to the case! I have just as many, if not more, heterosexual clients as I do homosexual clients.

What advice can you give to men looking to wax at home?

Don't even think about it! Waxing a man's bikini area can be a dangerous thing, seriously. They can bruise themselves, tear blood vessels, or worst of all they can actually rip their penis! It takes two people, myself and my client (the client usually will help me by taunting the skin).

Just because an esthetician says she waxes men, does NOT mean that she knows how. I teach classes all over the country on how to do Brazilians on men and women. It costs $1,500 plus expenses to hire me for one day. People pay it because they really are learning from the best.
